"Fertility"  by  Douglas Bechler

          Fertility's inspiration came from two things. One was a life drawing sketch I did of Layla doing a good morning pose which I loved. And at that time my friend Noelle was pregnant with Zachary. I started working, with the idea to make the sculpture an abstraction of the sketch of Layla. But I was influenced by Noelle and her wonderful belly, so this is the result.
