Pine Wood, Acrylic Paint  36" by 18" by 18"  Out for repair...

“What-a-Fluke!” is one of the three Whale Tail sculptures. It was sculpted from a pine log I got from the dump. (: Most of my wood came from the dump :) I was working from the model I had made, and all was going as planned until I hit some defects inside the log. I had to alter the design ( maybe too much ) and decided it needed to be painted, to do a cover-up. This experience taught me I should look for better material, which was an issue. I showed it a few times, but it never did much. I felt it was because of my paint job, which was just black spray paint. Sometimes I think about giving it a proper paint job, something thoughtful, but so far, NOTHING.
