"Blue Berry" An Original by Charlie, was recorded at the Waldo Theatre in 2001 that featured Herb Pomeroy with Rich Hollis on drums, Al Delgado on vibes, and Jeff Taylor on bass. This track has a horn section ( The Jazz Is Guys ) with Bob Rief, Hal Hagy, and Charlie. Herb didn't play on this song. The rest of the concert is on YouTube to be discovered.. :) "Deflowered Society" written and performed by Charlie Bechler. I pulled this song from a solo concert of originals at Bill Bookstore also in Waldoboro, Maine.
DEMOS These songs were recorded in the 80's, during the time Charlie was trying to be a top forty song writer. They are played by musicians like Roger Ebacher, Jim Cameron, Jon Ross, Frank Fuller, Dave Blume, I really don't remember.. people he was playing with at the time... :)
DEMOS I thought I would start with the four songs recorded in the 80's, that I found shortly after my Dad passed...( played on the always out of tune ) Baby Grand piano we had in the front room...
Up next is a recording made at the Tavern in Newburyport, Mass in the 70's.. Geoffrey's Tune.. I guess a cover of the Osmosis Version. It Features Bobby Clark on Drums, Charlie Bechler on RMI electric paino, the Bass Player is Brad Cardoza.
Next is a recorded set, made at the "Vanishing Schooner" which was a Jazz club on Plum Island, Mass.. ( back in the 70's? ) It features Jim Cameron on Sax.. not sure about the Bass and Drums...
The first song is "Punctuality" one of a dozen songs recorded at the Pressroom back in the 80's. With Nat Mugavero - Drums, Jon Joss - Bass, and Jim Cameron on the Sax.
Then "New England Theme".. Which is part of another concert recorded at the Waldo theater in 1988? Not sure about the Players ( One is Dick Cash - horn and some singing ) but I will hopefully get to it.
