*Updated* 12/13/07	Charlie Bechler:          05/07/07   Jazz Pianist Charlie Bechler dies at 75     Charlie Bechler of Waldoboro, long time jazz pianist, died Monday, May 7, from complications following a stroke earlier this year. He was 75. For the past 22 years, he lived in an old cape at Back Cove with his artist wife Audrey. Over the decades Bechler, a composer, teacher and bandleader, played with numerous jazz musicians. *Updated* 04/05/05	Christopher Bechler:    Christopher Bechler, self-taught artist, excels in expressionistic watercolor and oil paintings, and bronze sculptures. He grew up in a family of artists on the eastern seaboard near Boston, and began painting as a child. In his twenties, he studied art in Germany under the tutelage of Richard Kuhn, an abstract expressionist. He continued his studies in Eugene, Oregon with Adam Grosowsky, expressionist, and Richard Quigley, surrealist.
